Spanish was my first language. Yet, somehow, when I became a mother, I almost didn’t speak it to my daughters. My parents were both born in Mexico and came to the United States when they were 17. Until I started preschool around three-years-old, Spanish was the only language I spoke and understood. Apparently, preschool was a complete shock to three-year-old me. After my very first day, I came home and demanded that my mom sign me up for “Inglés Sin Barreras.” If you know, yo
